1. Daily activities and light exercise are allowed; however, please avoid saunas, steam rooms, heavy sweating exercise, and alcohol consumption for about one week.
2. Sun exposure may increase the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, so please apply sunscreen thoroughly.
3. Small, temporary acne-like bumps may appear after treatment. Apply a regenerative cream, and if they persist for more than 7 days, please contact the clinic and visit for evaluation.
4. If prescribed, apply steroid ointment very thinly once daily for up to 2 days only when redness or itching occurs.
A. Improper squeezing or worsening inflammation can enlarge the lesion and cause redness. In such cases, the risk of acne scarring increases and treatment may take longer. Therefore, it is best not to squeeze acne at home. Acne is a treatable condition, so we recommend consulting with a dermatologist for proper care.
A. Acne marks refer to changes in skin color at the site of previous acne without surface depression. Acne scars, on the other hand, involve skin indentation or raised, keloid-type lesions, resulting in an uneven skin surface. In other words, acne marks present as mild skin changes or pigmentation after acne resolves, whereas acne scars involve damage extending into the dermal layer and cannot fully recover with routine skin care alone.
